New Zealand's top companies focus their websites too much on marketing and bury their investor relations content, the organisers of the 2008 Wired Best Investor Website Awards say.
Each year the "Wired Best Investor Website Award" (BIWA) compares the homepages of the New Zealand NZX50 companies. It evaluates how well the experience of using these corporate homepages meets the needs of investors that is, the people who really need to use them.
Fifteen NZX50 websites were re engineered in 2008, but only eight managed to increase their score for the award. The only websites that improved on last years scores were those who redesigned their site to enhance user experience.
