Lifted Pavers Just Part Of The Process
Members of the public should not be concerned because pavers that have already been laid in areas of High St are now being lifted, landscape architect Jo Bruerton has advised.
“The pavers were not being lifted due to error but as part of the planned construction process preceding tree planting and furniture installation,” she said.
Laying the pavers first, then lifting gives the best result, minimising paver cuts, Ms Bruerton said.
Meanwhile expect some tree planting by Christmas.
Trees chosen for Dannevirke High St are Pyrus Calleryana, an ornamental non fruiting pear featuring red leaves in autumn and white spring blossom.
The recently completed clock tower design was another exciting step forward, she said.
