MANUKAU CITY

A combination of bright sunshine, blustery Nor’ easterly winds and even a fashion show on truck back provided some interesting conditions for riders competing in the 2008 New Zealand Horse & Pony CIC**. Overnight leader, Cambridge’s John Twomey (riding Highly Recommended) consolidated his lead with a clear cross country. New Plymouth’s Matthew Grayling, riding NRM Cruzintime, leapt from 5th place to 2nd. Comeback rider and former World Champion, Vaughn Jefferis, found the cross country phase to his liking lifting his place from yesterday’s 19th to 12th.
