I wish to advise the 2009 Tri-series tour has been postponed and will now take place in 2010, date TBA.

In the current economic climate it’s important to use our resource wisely, the fact that in December –January we have 3 age and youth teams on international duties is a strain on already scarce resources.

Looking forward, the age and youth programs are now providing a positive pathway to our coaches and swimmers, long term strategies can now be planned and implemented in an orderly and systematic manner, thus ensuring a greater chance of reaching stated goals.

Camps for next year are already in the planning stage and will include a broader delivery of content to look forward to.

I hope your training and coaching is progressing well as you work towards the next major meet which will be age groups in March, then to Australian Age in Sydney.

Selection criteria for the 2009 camps will be confirmed within the next 2 weeks.

Good luck to all that are representing our country over the next 6 weeks, make every session count as it will make the difference.

I am looking forward to working through new initiatives with everyone in the future.
