Making Merry? Plan Ahead
Plans for ‘making merry’ over the festive season may need some forward thinking if a Special liquor licence is involved.
December 5 is the deadline for applications to allow staff the necessary processing time advises the council’s liquor licensing inspector Clayton Locke.
Any event involving the supply and sale of alcohol at a wedding, staff function, 21st party or family reunion – for example – will require a special licence, so if in doubt please contact the council for advice.
And in a reminder for publicans and patrons, all On Licensed premises – pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes and taverns – must cease supplying alcohol at midnight on December 24.
Tararua District Council extends its wishes for a safe, responsible and happy festive season.
