Water restriction announcement

Wednesday January 7th 2009.

Thames Coromandel District Council wishes to announce the following water restrictions are in place until further notice:

FULL HOSE AND SPRINKLER / IRRIGATION BAN
The use of hoses and sprinklers/irrigation is banned in the following communities:
PAUANUI, TAIRUA, HAHEI, MATARANGI, AND MATATOKI

SPRINKLER / IRRIGATION BAN
The use of sprinklers/irrigation is banned in the following communities:

COROMANDEL

THERE ARE NO WATER RESTRICTIONS CURRENTLY IN PLACE FOR THE FOLLOWING COMMUNITIES:

Thames, Whitianga, Whangamata, Onemana and Puriri.

WATER CONSERVATION TIPS FOR RESIDENTS AND VISITORS

PLEASE DO PLEASE DO NOT
·Take short showers not baths
·Fix any leaks and dripping taps

·Use full loads to wash Clothes/dishes

·Wash cars, boats or trucks
·Fill swimming pools

·Water the garden in the heat of the day

·Clean driveway/patio with hose
