Get your kids geared up for the Go Active Kids TRYathlon

Sport Horowhenua in conjunction with the Levin Aquatic Centre are getting ready for the Go Active Kids TRYathlon that will be held at the Levin Domain and Aquatic Centre on Sunday 22 February 2009.

Last year more than 150 kids participated in the annual event, which is sponsored by Levin McDonalds.
Sport Horowhenua District Co ordinator Ra Jarden Osborne says “the triathlon is to introduce children to new and exciting opportunities to push play. This event has always been particularly popular and kids look forward to it.”
The Kids TRY caters for all ages and you can enter as a team or an individual. The focus is about participation rather than competition so it is a great event for a first timer or for those who are more experienced it is a great lead up to the Weet-bix kid’s triathlon, which will be held in Palmerston North in March.

As we near the end of the holidays now is a great time to train for the kid’s triathlon. “It will keep the kids out of your hair and give them something to focus on before they head back to school,”says Ra.
Registrations will be available at the Levin Aquatic Centre, Sport Horowhenua and McDonalds from Tuesday 20 January.
