Sid Lane's progress, Gyrocopter trip around NZ to raise money for cancer

Sid departed Taupo on Waitangi Day and travelled 960km's, flying for 7 hours. He flew to Whakatane, East Cape, Gisborne, Napier and stopped for the night in Flat Point.
On Saturday he departed Flat Point early and travelled along the East cCast towards Wellington, then across Cooks Straight, down to Kaikoura, then to Banks Peinsula. He stopped in Invercargill for the night. On day 2 he travelled 1,150km's (8 hours, 50 minutes), possibly a record for a gyrocopter trip.
Yesterday (Sunday), Sid tried to leave Invercargill but due to poor weather conditions has had to stay and wait out the bad weather.
To date, Sid has travelled over 2,000's and his average speed has been 135kmh.
