Companies Office releases new mobile search services

The Companies Office has announced the addition of two new mobile search services to compliment the existing Register search facility. Director and Banned Director searches allow the public to search for current and banned director details held on the Companies Office register from any internet enabled mobile device.

The decision to extend the current mobile offering to include director and banned director searches has been made in response to the willingness of New Zealand businesses to engage with the Companies Office using mobile technology. Since the introduction of Companies Office Mobile, on average 9,000 mobile searches are performed each month and the popularity of this service is expected to grow.

The introduction of additional mobile search services is the second stage deployment of a suite of mobile services the Companies Office have branded as ‘Companies Office Mobile’. The first Companies Office Mobile search service was introduced in September 2008 and enables the public to search the Companies Office register for details of a Limited Liability Company from their mobile phone.
