AUCKLAND

In perhaps the first ever stunt of its kind, members of trombone quartet BonaNZa and their conductor Marc Taddei, all dressed in full costume, braved the Sky Walk yesterday in the build up to this Saturday’s SKYCITY Starlight Symphony.

With just a few days to go till the increasingly popular Auckland event, the group pushed their comfort levels, playing their instruments whilst suspended 192 metres off the ground, clad in their characteristic Western-style outfits and armed only with their trombones.

The quartet’s players represent the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and will be playing on the evening both as a quartet, and as part of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
