At 10.00am this morning the body of a middle aged man was located outside his home address in Nile Street Nelson.
Details of the mans identity have not been released until formal identification has taken place and next of kin have been informed.
The death is being treated as suspicious at this stage, due to injuries on the body. The address has been sealed and guarded, pending a forensic examination of the address, which will take several days, and the results of a post-mortem which will take place on Tuesday.
