'Lift off Levin' festival of ballooning

It is the 5th anniversary of “Lift off Levin” festival of ballooning.
Another four days of ballooning begins with a Mass Ascension on the 10th of April 2009, including spectacular Night Glows in Levin Showgrounds on the 11th and the Allied Nationwide Finance Basin Reserve on the 12th.

When we started “Lift off Levin” we knew that Levin was a special place to fly balloons and so we expected ballooning to grow here and it has. The balloonists want to thank the people of Levin for their support and enjoyment of our event.
A special event to see in the center of town will be the Mass ascension from the New World and Levin Mall car parks. This will be at 7.00 am on Friday the 10th o f April. Then, in the skies over the town we will have all the usual balloon flying events and you can watch the the competition at the Lake Domain or Donnelly park. Or you can just watch them all flying over the town.
Don’t forget the Night Glow at the Horowhenua Event Center on the evening of the 11th of April.
This year there will also be a competition for the best shop window and a competition for children’s art .
Also this year, 2009, we will attempt to bring the Night Glow to Wellington, to the Basin Reserve in fact…..(It’s just not Cricket.) Well it’s not is it?
