Today, The first two hours of the game were very crucial for Both the teams. Nothing more could have been better for the BLACK CAPS than Taking the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar very early in the day. Sachin was caught behind at the bowling of Chris Martin. Sachin could add just 6 runs today. Now, New Zealand had the chance to turn things around and make the match more interesting . But that was not so, Today was A Special Day for Very Very Special Laxman who played a very very special Innings. Gambhir with Laxman played superbly and kept things well in Control for India. Both of them put 96 runs for the fourth wicket before Gautam Gambhir got out leg before wicket to Jeetan Patel. Gautam Gambhir made a very patient knock of 137 runs off 436 balls. IT was his 5th test hundred.

After the fall of Gautam Gambhir came in Yuvraj Singh. And Played fantastically with Laxman. They both played flawlessly and remained not out till the end of the match ensuring A Great Escape for India. The partnership betwwen Laxman and Yuvi was more like a One Day Partnership. They scored 120 runs off just 122 balls. VVS remained not out on 124 runs off 212 balls and He scored 100 runs off boundaries. His 25 fours were a treat to watch. It was Laxman's 14th Test Hundred. Yuvraj Singh scored a quick fifty and remained not out on 54 off just 63 balls. He scored 10 fours.
