Supporting the Problem Gambling Foundation, Alastair Galpin has been suspended 18 metres above the ground living in a cage for the last 20 days, busily conducting radio interviews with stations in New Zealand and around the globe and counting down to 100 - 100 Radio Interviews Suspended in a Cage, a new Record Holders' Republic Title.

"New Zealanders lose more than $2 billion per year to gambling, $1.3 billion of which is through the mouth of a pokie machine. That's more than what we spend to run the whole police force," says Graeme Ramsey, Chief Executive of the Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand.

"Alastair has been working with charities across the world since 2004 setting world records to help generate awareness of the services they offer the public. We are extremely grateful that he volunteered to put his mind and body to the test in support of our message that gambling need not become your problem and look forward to welcoming him to earth on Wednesday," he said.
