Tendulkar Memorabilia Offered To Public
When Indian batting superstar Sachin Tendulkar scored his 42nd test century at Seddon Park, Hamilton, in March, Northern Districts Cricket scorer Bill Andersson was the man tasked with keeping track of the avalanche of runs.
Now Northern Districts is set to turn the memorable occasion into an innovative fundraiser for junior cricket by offering full colour copies of Andersson's original "wagon wheel" of the special innings to the public - exactly the same "wagon wheel" as was presented to Tendulkar himself.
The frameable, A4-sized pieces of cricketing memorabilia are being sold for $100 and includes a reproduction of Tendulkar's autograph, the "little master" having signed the original chart.
What's more, NDCricket CEO David Cooper has announced that everybody who purchases a copy will also get themselves the chance to receive one of the two original “wagon wheel” charts Andersson made on the day. These will be fully certified by NDCricket.
There is other signed memorabilia, most from the same National Bank Series between India and the Blackcaps, also available with, Cooper says, a one in ten chance of receiving an additional gift for your support.
All funds raised will go to the development of junior cricket in the NDCricket area. If you or any friends that you think would love their own piece of history would like to enquire or order, contact NDCricket by emailing dcooper@ndca.co.nz
