Wairoa By-Election Result

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has a result for its Wairoa Regional Councillor position.

Fenton David WILSON was the candidate who received the most votes following the Wairoa
By-Election. Voting closed at midday on Friday 24 April.

Chairman Alan Dick said, “I am looking forward to working with Fenton and the contribution he
will make to the Regional Council representing Wairoa.”

“I have also written to the unsuccessful candidates complimenting them on their commitment
and willingness to serve their community.”

The by-election was held in Wairoa for the seat vacated by Rex McIntyre, following his
resignation earlier this year.
