Auckland Netballers Compete to Get Sponsored Like a Silver Fern

Netball teams across Auckland are competing for the chance to score the goal of every up-and-coming netballer and get sponsored like the Silver Ferns.

 

To celebrate its sponsorship of the Silver Ferns, New World is giving one Auckland team the chance to win a sponsorship deal that includes an exclusive training session with members of our national team.

 

Silver Fern, Casey Williams says, “The team is really excited about giving back to grass roots netball in Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a school or a club team so we encourage everyone to get involved.

 

“We can’t wait to train with some future netball stars from Auckland and share what we’ve learnt from our time with the Silver Ferns.”

 

To win this prize, every Auckland netball team needs to collect as many New World supermarket dockets as possible to create the longest docket in Auckland. Family, friends and the community can help by donating their New World dockets to the teams entered in the competition.

 

There are also six cash prizes of $5,000 up for grabs for netball centres who register the most teams for the competition nationwide.

 

Auckland netball centres need to get all their teams to register in the competition at www.getsponsored.co.nz over the next two weeks to be in with a chance to win. The netball centres that have the highest percentage of entries will win the cash prize.

 

New World Netball Sponsorship Co-ordinator, Margaret O’Sullivan says, “It could be a great opportunity for a Auckland netball centre to win one of the $5,000 prizes. From the time I’ve spent with my local netball centre I know that they could make great use of a cash injection like this one.”

 

The New World sponsorship package includes a VIP experience at an International Test Series match, a training session with a Silver Fern, personalised Adidas gear, a team physio kit and much more.

 

The competition runs from 18th May to 14th June with the winners announced at the end of June
