No increase in dog fees

There will be no increase in the cost of registering a dog in the Taupo district this year.

 

The annual dog registration fee for 2009/10 will remain at $82, with the same discounted fees in place for working dogs, special owner policy dogs and disability assist dogs.

 

Dog registration forms will be mailed out to all known dog owners in our district over the next two weeks. In order to get feedback on the services provided, we have included a survey form about Animal Management and encourage dog owners to complete and return this with their registration application.

 

Under the Dog Control Act 1996, all dogs in the Taupo District must be registered on 1 July each year. A full list of dog control fees will be publicly advertised in local papers prior to this date.
