At approximately 9.15am this morning an accident occurred on SH 1 near Huntly. The accident involved 2 cars and a truck.
An occupant in one of the cars was taken to Waikato Hospital with moderate injuries.
The road has been closed clearing the accident scene.
Diversions are in place at Tainui Bridge for Southbound traffic and Northbound traffic are being diverted onto SH 1B.
