PAPER PLUS PONSONBY ADOPTS NEW BRAND CONCEPT
A brand-new version of Paper Plus has opened in Ponsonby, making the store one of the first in Auckland to comprehensively adopt the leading book and stationery retailer’s fresh new brand concept. As part of Paper Plus’ national roll-out of its revitalized look and feel, which began with a successful launch in the seven Tauranga stores in 2008, the Ponsonby store has had a full make-over.
The store owners Christine and Colin D’Ath have been with Paper Plus for nine years, and say they enjoy the challenge of fast-moving retail. “We started with Paper Plus as owners of the Browns Bay store and spent three great years there before making the move to Ponsonby. We’re always looking for a new challenge and are very excited about the change. We are both passionate about books and enjoy getting to know the local community.”
“Ponsonby has a great buzz and it’s a bonus being in the heart of such a vibrant, flamboyant part of the city. We have a great base of regular clients and love being able to recommend books we know will appeal to their individual tastes, or stationery that will suit their needs.”
Paper Plus introduced this new concept in mid-2007 with the opening of its Sylvia Park store in Auckland. Following its successful reception by consumers, the company has conducted region-by-region roll-outs, giving the stores a fresh and revitalized look and enhancing the book offer. “It’s great to be part of the only New Zealand-owned and operated book and stationery retailer, with a great support structure that enables us to consistently punch above our weight,” says Christine and Colin.
