2degrees Announces Its PrePay Prices

2degrees revealed their prepaid mobile services today at a press conference in Auckland. Although there are no postpaid plans as yet, they're hoping to slowly introduce more services as they go along. The following is a summary of the announcements they made: 

• Only PrePay option for now as only 25% of the market use Postpaid
• $0.44 a minute to call anyone, anytime
• $0.09 a text to anyone
• $0.50 a picture text to anyone
• $0.44 calls, $0.09 texts and $0.50 picture texts to anyone in other 21 countries
• Bonus texts and cheaper call rates for 30 days after top up
• Free 100 anyone texts for $20 top up (lasts for 30 days)
• Free 150 anyone texts for $30 top up (lasts for 30 days)
• More free texts will be given as the top up value increases
• $0.22 a minute to call any 2degrees mobile when topping up (lasts for 30 days)
• $0.22 a minute to call any NZ landline when topping up (lasts for 30 days)
• Port your mobile number from another telco and get $5 credit
• SIM cards will be sold at $2 or $20 
• You can top up by voucher, credit/debit card, free 201 call, online
• Roam internationally, view usage online, get customer care for free, 24/7
• No per second billing, calls are charged per minute.
• $0.50 per MB of data.
• GPRS and EDGE (2.5G) for now, 3G later.
