Fresh ‘n Fruity in association with SKYCITY and Sky Jump, partnered with The Big Night In Telethon in order to raise much needed money for KidsCan StandTall Charity. A celebrity fundraiser SkyJump took place at SKYCITY in Auckland - a 192m base jump by wire off Auckland’s Sky Tower.
New Zealanders voted for the celebrity they wanted to see dunked in Fresh ‘n Fruity yoghurt via a text campaign with all proceeds going to KidsCan. Candidates included radio and television personalities Jay-Jay Feeney and Oliver Driver, and blockbuster stuntwoman ZoQ Bell.
On the day, ZoQ Bell dressed as a giant strawberry and plunged into a giant sized pot of Fresh ‘n Fruity featuring the new look packaging. The strawberry suit worn by Zoe Bell proved to be popular with fans, selling on www.sella.co.nz raising a further $150 for KidsCan.
“The turnout for the event was great and ZoQ Bell had a ball. Fresh ‘n Fruity is really proud to be a part of the telethon and help raise money for KidsCan - proof great things can happen when fruit and yoghurt collide!” says Fresh ‘n Fruity Marketing Manager, Caroline Giller.
The Big Night In was broadcast live on TV3 over August 8-9 for 23 hours, and raised nearly $2 million for the KidsCan charity.
