GREYMOUTH

Jucy Rentals, New Zealand fastest growing rental company, next month opens on the West Coast, their ninth branch in Australasia.

Jucy will open for car bookings in Greymouth on October 1. Jucy’s other branches are in Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and Cairns.

Jucy has a deal with the Westcoast Travel Centre, in the Greymouth railway station, which will handle all the Jucy activities in Greymouth.

The decision to open a Greymouth branch was made after talking to our customers who wanted the option of collecting or returning their car in Greymouth so they could also travel on the world famous Tranzalpine Express.

Jucy chief executive Tim Alpe said it was exciting to open on the bustling tourist area of the West Coast and also partner with a reputable company such as the Westcoast Travel Centre.

``Greymouth has always been a location that we were keen to see a Jucy branch as it is such an important stop on the tourist itinerary. The support that we have seen from the West Coast community to date just shows what a fantastic opportunity Jucy has in setting up business in Greymouth.’’

From just a handful of cars and no staff a few years ago, Jucy has catapulted to the top of the vehicle rental brands in Australasia in just six years.

Brothers Tim and Dan Alpe who run Jucy now have more than 2000 cars and campervans in their fleet in New Zealand and Australia.

Jucy will have nine branches, 1300 cars and 400 campervans in New Zealand, 320 campervans in Australia and a total of 87 staff by Christmas. They are regarded as Australasia’s fastest car and camper rental operator and they will announce further expansions next year.
