WANAKA

Queenstown i-SITE has beaten stiff competition across New Zealand to become the InterCity Agent of the Year at the National i-SITE Conference held in Wanaka this week.

Judged by InterCity on sales growth and customer service, the Intercity Agent of the Year is awarded annually in recognition of performance.

Daniel Rode, Sales and Marketing Manager for ICG (InterCity Group (NZ) Ltd), said Queenstown was awarded the title in the large agent category thanks to the performance, hard work and enthusiasm shown by the whole team.

“Agents are judged nationwide and despite the stiff competition, Queenstown blitzed them all this year,” he said. “Given the current economic market, the whole team has done incredibly well and shown outstanding success right across the board.”

Matt Wong, Manager of Queenstown i-SITE, was presented the award in recognition of the efforts of the Queenstown team.

“We are delighted to have been awarded the InterCity Agent of the Year because all the staff have worked extremely hard and despite the recession we’ve still maintained our sales,” he said.

InterCity has always sponsored the Agent of the Year Award at the National i-SITE Conference and is one of the largest ticket items purchased through the i-SITE network. The company has operated New Zealand’s largest coach transportation network for more than 30 years.

The National i-SITE Conference was held at the Lake Wanaka Centre in Wanaka from September 13-15.
