World famous Kiwi comes of age

A New Zealand born event celebrates their twenty-first birthday this summer. The Stroke & Stride series of races has swum and run itself into the most popular and competitive after work sports event in the country. Meanwhile the successful Stroke & Stride formula has been replicated around the globe with events in a host of international destinations.

At the end of last season it was Whangarei’s Simone Ackermann and Auckland’s Ryan Sissons that had dominated their competition and lifted the prestigious title of Stroke & Stride Series Champion. This year they will need to contend with strong challenges from previous title holders Carmel Hanly and Brent Foster and talented rising stars including Teresa Adam, Maddie Dillon, Alex Smith, Michael Poole and Sam Franklin.
