Yellow appoints new Digital Media Director

Yellow™ has appointed Peter Crowe as its new Digital Media Director following an extensive recruitment process.

Mr Crowe, who relocated from Sydney to take up the position earlier this month, was formerly CEO of Quotify, a consumer marketing company he co-founded in 2006.

Mr Crowe gained extensive digital marketing experience working at Yahoo! Australia for seven years as Head of Search and as a Senior Producer. Prior to Yahoo! he worked as a Publisher at Microsoft Communiqué Australia.

Yellow CEO Bruce Cotterill said Mr Crowe’s appointment is timely as the business looks to the online and mobile spaces as part of its digital growth strategy.

“Peter's wealth of experience in both the digital and publishing industries will ensure that our digital products and innovation stories are top of mind for Kiwi businesses and consumers alike.

“The way people are consuming media is changing rapidly and we need to make sure that our content is available to people where they want it and when they want it."

In October Yellow released its latest innovations in the digital space. The company released an updated version of its Yellow iPhone application, enabling users to search for residential listings from the White pages® as well as business listings from Yellow. The Yellow Maps™ website was also relaunched with online booking functionality, enhanced maps and added-value tourism content.
