Microsoft New Zealand appoints Porter Novelli

Microsoft New Zealand today announced the appointment of Porter Novelli as its public relations agency of record for product and corporate communications, effective immediately.

Porter Novelli has provided public relations counsel for Microsoft’s corporate communications and citizenship activities for the past two years. The agency was selected following a competitive tender aimed at consolidating the corporate and product facets into one agency. “Porter Novelli stood out during the pitch process for their strategic thinking, creative concepts and a clear passion to work with Microsoft,” said Marketing Director Paul Muckleston.

“The move to consolidate agencies is to ensure all our communications have a consistent approach and dedicated focus so externally we are delivering relevant, timely information to our business partners, customers, employees and stakeholders.”

Porter Novelli Managing Director, Jane Sweeney, said the team is thrilled to be further developing the relationship with Microsoft.

“We are incredibly excited about assisting Microsoft New Zealand across the full spectrum of their public relations requirements and helping them achieve both business and reputation objectives,”said Mrs Sweeney.

The Porter Novelli Microsoft account team consists of: co-leads Jane Sweeney and Sarah Williams (recently joined Porter Novelli as Executive Director, ex Vodafone and Vector) Kerry Gardner, Kevin Ptak, Sarah Rutherford, Scott Bartley (recently joined Porter Novelli from PC World where he was reviews editor) and Natalie Benning.

Porter Novelli clients include Vodafone, Fuji Xerox, IPFX, Visa, Telecoms Industry Group (TIG), Fonterra Brands, Southern Cross Healthcare, Yealands Estate.
