Lancaster & Hitchock open Josh & Jamie.

After working together at Clemenger BBDO, Meares Taine, Ogilvy and for the last three years at Colenso BBDO, we’ve decided that despite having young kids and pretty big mortgages, now’s the perfect time to start our own agency, called Josh & Jamie.

Says Josh: ‘We decided, over a couple of raspberry cordials, to keep things simple and call ourselves by our first names.’

Adds Jamie: ‘We like calling people by their first names and funnily enough, clients do too. In fact the last time anybody called us by our last names was back at school just before we got caned.

For over 11 years, we’ve worked on some of New Zealand’s most iconic brands including Fly Buys, ACC, Road Safety (NZTA), L&P, Steinlager, Lion Red, AA, Air New Zealand, Tip Top, Fisher and Paykel, Mainland and Kapiti Cheese picking up over 100 local and international, creative and effectiveness awards, along the way.’

‘We’ve also worked with some incredibly talented advertising leaders including Duster, Peter Biggs, Roy Meares, Jeremy Taine, Roger MacDonnell, Rich Maddocks, Nick Worthington and Brent Smart and we’ve learned heaps off all of them.

But now it’s our time to start a creatively lead, unashamedly kiwi, independent agency,’ says Josh.

‘We’ve always believed great work comes from having great relationships with clients. It’s no secret that the best work we have done has always been with clients that have been able to pick up the phone and call us directly. And now that our names are on the door, that’s how we want it to work,’ says Jamie.

‘We’re committed to finishing off some existing work at Colenso until the end of the year. Then in early January we’ll be launching our website, joshandjamie.co.nz which will include a full reel of our work, before opening the doors on February 1st.
