Seven new senior appointments at Chapman Tripp

Tim Tubman is appointed a Partner from 1 December and Graeme Olding appointed a Principal from 1 November. Jess Cameron, Nick Francis, Alistair Law, Tim Sherman and Ben Williams were appointed Senior Solicitors from 1 November.

Managing Partner, Andrew Poole, said the appointments demonstrated the firm’s commitment to providing quality services to its clients and to developing the careers of its outstanding lawyers.

The promotions cover Chapman Tripp’s corporate and commercial; property, real estate and construction; litigation and dispute resolution; and tax practices – and all help strengthen the firm.

Tim Tubman – Partner, Auckland

Tim Tubman specialises in corporate and securities law with particular expertise in M&A transactions. He advises clients on buying, selling, and investing into businesses, IPO’s, limited partnerships, takeovers and mergers, joint ventures, due diligence, and other corporate law matters.

Graeme Olding – Principal, Auckland

Graeme specialises in tax law. He has over ten years’ experience advising on a wide range of New Zealand tax matters including advising on merger & acquisition transactions and representing clients in tax disputes. He regularly presents at taxation seminars on both income tax and goods and services topics.

Jess Cameron – Senior Solicitor, Auckland

Jess Cameron specialises in tax law. She has over five years’ legal experience and advises clients on a range of tax issues including income tax, goods and services tax and tax disputes.

Nick Francis – Senior Solicitor, Auckland

Nick specialises in construction and commercial property law. He advises clients on construction and commercial property transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, commercial, industrial and retail leasing, commercial and infrastructure development projects and subdivision.

Alistair Law – Senior Solicitor, Auckland

Alistair specialises in commercial property law. He advises clients on issues including property development, acquisitions, disposals and leasing. Alistair joined Chapman Tripp in 2005 from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he practiced as a tax consultant.

Tim Sherman – Senior Solicitor, Wellington

Tim specialises in corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on technology projects, outsourcing, intellectual property, joint ventures and long-term services contracts. He has particular experience in the IT and electricity sectors.

Ben Williams – Senior Solicitor, Christchurch

Ben is a member of Chapman Tripp’s national litigation team. Based in the Christchurch office, Ben specialises in natural resource and urban infrastructure. He has had significant involvement in a number of airport, irrigation and hydro-electricity developments.
