THE LODGE is absolute luxury five-star boutique accommodation in a uniquely breathtaking location on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand, just 1 3/4 hours drive from Auckland City.


Purpose built by the present owners in 2000-2001, of Hinuera stone, warm natural timbers and the finest of finishes, The Lodge sits proudly on 1 1/2 acres amid native bush.


While totally private, The Lodge is designed to offer spectacular panoramic views from every room, encompassing Tairua Estuary, Pauanui Resort, Slipper Island and the Pacific Ocean.
 

Guest Accommodation:
The Lodge welcomes mainly international visitors and offers three guest bedrooms, each commanding $450 (single) to $495 (double) per night:
 All rooms have lovely sea views
 Bifold doors open to private patio areas overlooking the pool & out to the Pacific Ocean
 All rooms are tastefully furnished, contemporary yet warm & relaxing with fine linens
 One room offers a superking bed or twin king single beds
 Two rooms have queen beds
 All rooms have their own ensuite bathroom with wet shower: one offers a spa bath.
 Toiletries, hairdryer, robes, heated towel rails, under tile heating are included
 Rooms feature tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen T.V. & DVD players
 Wireless & broadband connection is available throughout the lodge.
 Guests enjoy a cosy, inviting lounge with woodburner fire and library
 There is ample guest parking
 

The Lodge has excellent outdoor living options, with effectively whole walls opening to extensive patios and decks which incorporate an outdoor spa and superb lap/swimming pool.
 

The Owner’s Accommodation:
The privileged owners’ accommodation is in a separate wing from the guest accommodation and is a luxurious suite in its own right, with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom. The Office is adjacent to this master suite and the owners also have their own private lounge and patio area.
 

Facilities and Environment:
The kitchen and laundry are state of the art, specifically designed to cater for the most demanding guests.
There is huge garaging under the lodge, capable of accommodating up to six cars, and the garage area has its own bathroom with shower and toilet.


The Lodge is perfectly in tune with the natural environment, as reflected in its Silver Environment Award. Discreetly positioned and designed with total empathy for its setting, the Lodge also has extensive orchards and gardens and is self sufficient in fruit and vegetables.
 

The Lodge is on town water and sewerage but also has 2 x 9000 gallon rainwater tanks for emergencies.
Bathrooms and kitchen feature under-tile heating. The Lodge has reverse cycle air conditioning supplemented by a wood burner stove, heat from which is transferred throughout the Lodge by air pump.

Water heating is solar, backed up by electric systems.
 

The Lodge currently enjoys 5 star Qualmark status for Guest and Hosted Accommodation and is Friars recommended. Its reputation is second to none.
 

The Lodge will be sold with its entire quality contents and on-going business, enabling new owners to simply move in, enjoy and operate.
