AUCKLAND

Auckland’s Craig Cachopa has been named captain of the New Zealand Under-19 side to play in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup next month.

Cachopa was captain of the Auckland side which finished runner up in the recent National Under-19 Championship.

He captained the New Zealand U19 side on its internal tour of New Zealand earlier this year and was a member of the New Zealand U19 team which toured England in mid-2008. He has played 10 games for the New Zealand U19 side.
