Doyle family, friends request media privacy

Family and friends of Queenstown teenager Richard Doyle (19) who died in the Queensland surf earlier this week are requesting media privacy while they grieve for their lost son, brother and friend.

The Doyle family had been on a Christmas treat holiday visiting friends in Sydney then having fun on the Gold Coast when Richard failed to return after a morning swim near Surfers Paradise.

The family greatly appreciates the outpouring of support from their friends and local community and is coping as best as possible with the tragedy. Information about Richard’s funeral service will be made available on Tuesday, January 12.
