Following the success of the official opening of the new Kauri Coast Community swimming pool on 20 December 2009, pool manager Trevor Bruce, Kaipara District Council and the Kauri Coast Community Pool Trust are pleased to announce that the pool will be open for public swimming on Saturday 16 January 2010.

To mark the occasion, the opening day will be a “Free Entry” day with a sausage sizzle, music and lots of splashing good fun. The day will commence at 12noon and the pool will be open that day until 8pm. And just to tempt you further, management will be providing an opening day special on Annual Passes (both adult and child) of a discount of up to 10% on the annual pass fee.

Trevor Bruce invites everyone to take advantage of the opening day. “We want as many people as possible to come along, enjoy the day and help celebrate the public opening. Everyone involved in the project has made enormous efforts to get the pool finally ready and it’s great to have an opening date. Get out, bring your togs, towels, sunscreen and hats - show your support and get ready to enjoy it.”

Following the opening the pool will be open from 6am to 8pm on weekdays and from noon to 8pm on weekends. Full details of swimming timetables, prices and programmes will be available from the pool office following the opening.

So come along, have a good time and enjoy this fantastic new facility.
