Canterbury and Northern Districts occupy first and second spot on the points table after picking up maximum points in round three. Auckland also completed an outright win but were behind after the first innings so only picked up two points.

It was bowling star Theo Van Woerkom who Canterbury have to thank for the win after ripping through Central Districts batsman Daniel Wightman off the final ball of the match to hand them the 100 run outright win. Van Woerkom finished with five for 33 – his third five wicket haul of the tournament. Earlier, Canterbury batsmen Andrew McCracken blasted a quick fire 46 not out to give his team a lead of 208. Central were all out for 107 with Mitchell Drummond top scoring with 31.

Northern Districts took their first inning score through to 249 for eight before declaring with a 102 run lead. Mathew Gurrey (3-31), Sean Davey (3-33) and Henry Cooper (2-33) then tore through the Otago line up to have them all out for 178, leaving 77 for the outright win. They did it in a canter, losing only one wicket with Henry Cooper (27*), Joseph Carter (25*) guiding them home.

It was a dramatic come from behind win for Auckland after conceding a 17 run first inning lead to Wellington. Simon Middleton, fresh off his double century on day four, starred again hitting 72 as the Aucklanders chased down the 217 required with one over to spare. Middleton was well supported by Wesley Jarman who struck 57.
