Boil Water Notice for Arrowtown
The Queenstown Lakes District Council has today issued a boil water notice to Arrowtown residents.
“The notice was issued this morning after routine testing detected the positive presence of e- coli in the Arrowtown water supply,” QLDC senior 3 waters service engineer Bernard Robinson said.
The council recommended that residents connected to the Arrowtown water supply boil all drinking water until Friday morning (January 29)
“Testing will continue over the next few days and contractors will be flushing the water lines to ensure any residual contamination is flushed to waste,’ Mr Robinson said.
