Hospitality Business Broker appointed with focus on Auckland Harbour Bridge to Waiwera

 Business Broker, Kate Grooby  has joined the Tourism Properties.com Team and will focus on the Hospitality Industry in Auckland, with a focus on North of the Harbour Bridge to Waiwera.

Kate is passionate about hospitality and her in depth knowledge and understanding of the restaurant, bar and café business is extensive - due to having spent the last twenty five years in the industry in both Europe and more recently in New Zealand.

Having originally studied for a degree in journalism and communications she hosted several documentaries in both the UK and France before falling in love with London’s then thriving cocktail and restaurant scene.

Kate worked extensively in London’s top dining establishments - from the original London Hard Rock Café, which has the finest training programmes within the industry, to one of Europe’s largest fine dining brasseries, Terence Conran’s Quaglino’s Restaurant. As general manager of London’s most glamorous and iconic 280 seat restaurant and cocktail bar, Kate oversaw 140 staff who as a team served 10,000 covers a month. Kate was able to demonstrate her dynamic management style by creating the highest level of customer service and attention to detail in all areas of the restaurant.

Kate and her husband took on the lease of a seventeen bedroom alpine ski lodge in the French Alps where they spent five seasons, Kate as the chef for the hotel and popular local restaurant. Their summers were spent catering for the media and celebrities at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France.

Kate has achieved a high profile and strong management background both operationally and practically. She thrives on working with people and relates effectively and professionally to both staff and customers alike.

Moving to New Zealand with her husband and young son in 2008, Kate has since worked in some of Auckland’s finest restaurants before joining Tourism Properties.com as the Hospitality Business Broker for the Auckland North region which includes Harbour Bridge to Waiwera and everywhere in between.
