ETA Project Manager Ron Boyle says it is fantastic that Broadlands Road has been opened well ahead of schedule.

The road had been closed to enable works to take place to accommodate new ETA on and off ramps. Mr Boyle said “by closing Broadlands Road to through traffic the Fulton Hogan work crews were able to carry out the work unimpeded and were able to use larger 40 tonne off road dump trucks instead of smaller road truck and trailer units, thereby speeding up the process of re-aligning the road.”

“The completed road is now wider and kerb and channelling has been installed,” he said.

Andrew McRae Fulton Hogan Project Manager said “some work still needs to be carried out such as road marking, the installation of road side barriers and street lighting but this work can be done with only shoulder and lane closures,” he said. “We thank the local businesses, residents and all road users for their patience.”
