New Dates for Catlins Woodstock Festival this year

Bruce the Catlins ‘Camel’ and the organisers of Catlins Woodstock Music Festival are delighted to be able to announce that new dates have been set for the 2010 Festival – Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th March 2010.

Same great format, Same great fun: Saturday 13th from noon: Country Music Day and Sunday 14th from 11:00am till late: Bands for all ages and Heaps of Entertainment

For the last 20 years, the Festival has been held in January. However this year, as you are aware, the difficult decision had to be made to postpone it due to saturated ground conditions from the overwhelming amount of rain received. Everyone, -- from the bands and entertainment to the enthusiasts who come back year after year to enjoy the weekend, -- have been so understanding about the situation and we are very appreciative.

When telling people the news, we were encouraged by the fact that one of the first questions they asked was “What are the new dates?” - they don't want to wait till next year! It’s become such a popular family event that many make it a part of their holiday routine. We didn’t want to let them down, so organisers Russell and Veda Kirk, instead of having a quiet weekend, carried on working hard to find another date that would bring all the family entertainment and fun together again! With so much on offer, you can imagine that this was no small feat!

We are also hoping that the new dates this year may be a bonus for those that normally miss out – an opportunity for them to enjoy the festivities and see what everyone raves about! Or perhaps a time for some who have not attended for a while to re-discover the family fun! Everyone is invited! Further details will be out closer to the time – so watch this space!

And our friend, Bruce the Catlins Camel, is preparing to tap his toes and wiggle to the music again!
