Grants And Sponsorship Scheme Now Open

Organisations planning an event “with a difference” can apply now to the council’s annual $15,000 Grants and Sponsorship fund.

The purpose is to support and encourage organisations to run wide ranging events that are “celebratory, educational, competitive, commemorative or exhibitive”.

To qualify for a funding allocation the event must attract “significant” visitor numbers – locally or outside the district.

Applications close on March 15 and forms are available on line at www.tararuadc.govt.nz and the four service centres.
