Community Forum helps charities raise funds

A Hastings District Council community forum in April will provide attendees with knowledge and practical skills to help them raise funds for their charity or community groups.

The forum focusing on fundraising will be held at the Hastings Baptist Church, Cnr of Lyndon Road and Karamu Road South (next door to Hastings District Council) on Friday, 23rd April from 11am - 1:00pm

A group of speakers are Hastings District Council, Infinity Foundation, Eastern and Central Community Trust, Department of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Social Development will present information about community grants and funding opportunities.

Speakers will then be available to answer any questions during informal break-out sessions.

Hastings District Council organises regular Community Forums to provide information on a range of topics and services.

The Community Forums are particularly aimed at those involved in, or working with, community organisations and the not-for-profit sector.

The format for the Community Forums generally consists of a guest speaker, followed by a opportunity for informal discussion and networking.

The forums are free to attend.
