Lake level at 1000hrs was 311.24 and showing a steady recession. This level is 6cm below the ‘flood alert level’ and 24cm below the Saturday peak.

In the previous 24 hours the lake has fallen approximately 8cm and we anticipate this rate will continue for at least the next 48 hours.

Rain is forecast for late Thursday/early hours Friday, but should only be a low to moderate sized event giving 15-25mm. This sized event will have little effect on the lake level, but will slow the recession rate slightly.

How long will it take for the lake to recede back to 310.8 (lake watch level)?

Early next week is still the prediction.
