Tamati Coffey, roving weather presenter for TVNZ’s ‘Breakfast’ programme is bringing the Rugby World Cup’s ‘Webb Ellis Cup’ to Rotorua on Tuesday (17 May). Tamati will be broadcasting the Breakfast weather live from the Energy Events Centre from 6.30am to 8.30am.

Rotorua is one of just five cities selected from centres hosting matches during the Rugby World Cup to be included on the whirlwind tour with the RWC trophy.

Events & Venues Rotorua Events Manager Martin Croft says there an opportunity locals to win two Pool Packs to Rugby World Cup 2011 with the ‘Adopt a Second Team’ competition. The Breakfast show is encouraging fans to adopt a team other than the All Blacks, by dressing up in their colours.

During the Rugby World Cup next year, Rotorua will be hosting matches involving Ireland, Russia, Samoa, Fiji and Namibia.

So, why not bring the family down to the Energy Events Centre dressed in your adopted team’s colours, meet Tamati and enjoy the once in a lifetime opportunity to have your photo taken with the Webb Ellis Cup. Tamati will be giving away two Pool Packs to the best dressed Rugby Fan.
