Feilding's Sarah Goss star of the national schoolgirls' rugby tournament in Oamaru
Feilding High School first five-eighths Sarah Goss was the star of the national secondary schoolgirls rugby tournament which ended in Oamaru today.
She scored 16 tries and scored 115 points in eight 30-minute tournament games. Goss has already played for a NZ Maori Sevens team (to Rome this year) and tournament organiser Geoff Simons today tipped her as a future Black Fern.
Feilding won the event, beating Christchurch Girls High School 10-0 in the semi-final and South Otago High School 22-0 in the final.
The 10th annual event was sanctioned by NZSS Sports Council and NZRU through the NZ schools Rugby Council.
