Taupo Library to celebrate new website

The new Taupo District Libraries website is ready to launch this Thursday with a launch party at the Taupo Public Library, with lots of fabulous prizes and giveaways.

The public are welcome to come along from 11am and help celebrate the libraries’ new website, www.taupodistrictlibraries.govt.nz, with a free sausage sizzle hosted by More FM, balloons, music and more.

Spot prizes will be given away every half hour including a night’s stay at the Manuels Millenium Hotel and Resort, a Taupo Bungee Extreme Swing pass, Huka Jet pass, two tickets to the show ‘Grumpy Old Woman’ at the Great Lake Centre, and a family pass to the Huka Prawn Park.

Other giveaways include vouchers from Mitre 10, Bodyfuel Café, Whitcoulls, Paper Plus, and Price’s Bookshop, CD vouchers from My Music, and passes to the AC Baths. Taupo Library wishes to thank all their sponsors for their generous support.

The new Taupo District Libraries website features all upcoming events at the Taupo libraries, as well as personal membership info, the latest recommended books, a teens and kids area, and of course access to the full library catalogue.

“It’s a big improvement on our old site,” says Taupo Library Manger Luisa Haines. “We’re really proud to have a site that reflects the innovative and fun approach we take to running our libraries in this district, and we think people will really like it.”
