Collector's Edition Corvette goes up for auction

A classic example of American motoring grunt is set to go under the hammer at Turners Auctions this Thursday evening.



In pristine condition, and with only 60,282 miles on the clock, this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette is a true collector’s item, complete with Collector’s Edition badges and wheels.



Believed to be one of only three in New Zealand, it is expected to sell for between $28,000 and $32,000.



Jade Stevenson, Branch Manager at Turners Auctions Napier, says the car is expected to attract huge interest from collectors and classic car lovers all around New Zealand.



“Chevrolet only produced 6,759 of these cars worldwide, so to have one in such pristine condition is a very rare find indeed. The silver-beige paint job is very cool too, not to mention the whopping great 5.7 litre V8 engine,” says Jade.
