Four Director’s from New Zealand’s largest commercial architectural firm JASMAX have offered tours of their own homes as an auction prize for the YWCA Auckland’s 125th Anniversary Gala Dinner.

The half day tour includes an incredible on-site lunch prepared by culinary icon Geoff Scott, the owner and head chef of Vinnies Restaurant in Herne Bay. He learnt his trade in some of the finest kitchens in Europe, returning home with a burning ambition to bring his exceptional culinary skill to bear on the freshest New Zealand produce. Wine will be provided by Ara Wines of Blenheim.

Says Hilary Sumpter, CEO of the YWCA Auckland “This is one of our most exciting auction items, the bidders will be supporting our mentoring programmes for young women with the purchase of this extra special item - its a great endorsement of the work we do in developing women’s leadership and we are extremely grateful to JASMAX and to Geoff.”

The half day tour will happen in November for six lucky people. They will visit the four homes, located in Herne Bay, the Viaduct, Newmarket and Remuera with the respective designers and home owners. Lunch will be held at the final destination in Remuera with Andy Anderson and his wife.

JASMAX director Andy Anderson says “This is one of the ways JASMAX likes to give back to community. As a commercial firm we don’t often have the opportunity to talk about our own residential work and supporting the YWCA Auckland on this occasion is a way of demonstrating what we all can do.”

The auction for this exclusive tour is part of the YWCA Auckland’s 125th Anniversary Gala Dinner being held on August 11th at the Langham Hotel. For tickets or to view the other auction items: www.akywca.org.nz. ph 09 375 9242
