Announcing the winners of the 2010 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards
Following months of trawling through entries, rigorous judging, and back-patting of finalists, the New Zealand marketing community was in celebratory mode tonight at the 2010 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards.
In recognition of marketing excellence driving business results, NZ Marketing magazine and the New Zealand Marketing Association (NZMA) proudly announced this year’s winners of the coveted TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards.
The judges praised Fairfax Media Supreme Award winner, 2degrees, for becoming very successful in a very short time. 2degrees “used great insight, they’re brave and innovative, and being quintessentially Kiwi they’ve got the knack of capturing the hearts and minds of middle New Zealand”.
NZ Marketing publisher, Vincent Heeringa exclaimed “These awards are reserved for those who execute a great strategy – not just those who make nice ads. But with 2degrees they’ve achieved both!”
In keeping with the science of marketing theme, the crowd of passionate marketing and business leaders enjoyed an evening of entertainment and celebration amid flaming test tubes and dazzling pyrotechnics with awards host, Te Radar, and live band Gourmet Peppers.
“It’s brilliant to see such widespread participation throughout the marketing community. As an industry, we should be proud of the work we have been doing. We thank all entrants for their contribution, and congratulate this year’s winners for driving innovation and thought leadership for New Zealand businesses” says Sue McCarty, NZMA’s Chief Executive.
