One of the world’s top freeskiers signed up for Treble Cone’s Private Intense Programme yesterday, a new Snow Sports programme that has exceeded booking expectations for its first year on the market.

Currently ranked 7th in the world on the Nissan Freeride World Tour 2010, Austrian freeksier Lorraine Huber was filmed completing drills on the snow before the lesson moved indoors for footage analysis with instruction for improvements to her technique and stance to suit the high level of competition and conditions she deals with.

“I found the lesson hugely beneficial, especially the video analysis it really makes you aware of your technique and posture on the snow. It is a great tool to compare what you are doing with the perfect technique of the two coaches who are shadowing you. There are always improvements to be made which will advance my performance and enjoyment of skiing,” said Huber.

The Private Intense Programme is a two hour ski technique private lesson for the dedicated skier and rider wanting to take their skills to the next level. The lesson includes a verbal assessment, filming by a second instructor, a full video analysis to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement. The second hour puts everything in to practice on the diverse terrain of Treble Cone.

“Snow sports school is not just for beginners or kids, there are a wide variety of programmes for all levels of intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders. The Private Intense Programme has been hugely popular with bookings received from visitors across the globe, it is great to see people visit us for the lessons we have on offer,” said Klaus Mair, head of Snow Sports at Treble Cone.

With twenty seasons under his belt as an instructor, four years at Treble Cone, Mair is highly experienced; his Sofa Ski School teaching DVD is the one of the highest selling in the Northern Hemisphere and his online lessons have received over 1.5 millions hits on youtube.

Treble Cone Snow Sports has a core staff of 45 instructors offering a wide range of lessons from complete beginner and children’s classes to women specific clinics, intense private lessons to free-ride camps and telemark workshops.

The Private Intense Programme costs $280 and can be booked on line or in person at the Snow Sports office. For further information, visit www.treblecone.com.
