Mazda has continued its support of the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards for the fourth consecutive year through its sponsorship of the Mazda Best Female Solo Artist category.

As the official vehicle partner for the music awards, Mazda has supplied a new-generation Mazda6 promotional vehicle decked out with stunning graphics of this year’s Mazda Best Female Solo Artist nominees – Anika Moa, Gin Wigmore and Hollie Smith – by renowned New Zealand airbrush and tattoo artist Rose Hardy.

Rose is currently based in Melbourne and created the eye-catching images over a two week period painting them with an airbrush to achieve the beautiful and realistic look.

In addition to the promotion vehicle, celebrities and artists will be driven from the official pre-awards Departure Party to the glitz and glamour of the red carpet at the awards in a fleet of new-generation Mazda vehicles.

“Mazda is thrilled to continue its association with the Music Awards and support Kiwi artists. The competition for Mazda Best Female Solo Artist is once again strong this year and we’re all looking forward to finding out who will win next month,” said Andrew Clearwater, Managing Director, Mazda New Zealand.

The finalists of the 2010 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards were announced at an event in Auckland last night. The awards will be held on October 7 at Vector Arena, Auckland.
