Rosé - New to the Quartz Reef Sparkling Wine Family

As we head into the traditional bubbles season, celebrated Central Otago winemaker Rudi Bauer is proud to introduce a new member to the Quartz Reef family – a sparkling Rosé. The Rosé complements Quartz Reef’s award winning Non-Vintage and Vintage Methode Traditionnelle wine.

“I’m delighted to introduce a beautiful new addition to the Quartz Reef family and confirm our further commitment to sparkling wine. I am passionate about this special wine. It’s the summer version of the essence of Central Otago,” says Rudi Bauer.

The Rosé is a bright stella cherry red with a bouquet of ripe alpine strawberry on brioche.

The grapes for this wine were grown on the Quartz Reef estate in Bendigo, Central Otago and handpicked in March 2008. The wine is 89% Pinot Noir and 11% Chardonnay.

This year’s initial release of the new Rosé will be in limited quantities. The Rosé will retail for approximately $35 per bottle and alongside other award winning Quartz Reef wine, will be available at selected fine wine retailers and restaurants or direct from the Quartz Reef winery.
